VOICES AND VISIONS
CATHOLIC SCHOOLS IN CONVERSATION
‘Voices and Visions’ is a conversational resource of twelve booklets designed for the use of Catholic Schools in Australia. Illustrative of a number of key themes to emerge from Conciliar and post-Conciliar literature on the Catholic school, each booklet comprises an evocative mixture of readings and images designed to encourage both reflection and conversation.
Of particular value to the on-going formation of teachers, school principals and other staff, it may also be profitably used with boards, clergy and groups of parents. The overall aim is to encourage greater understanding and engagement in the common collaborative task they share – that of the Catholic education and formation of young people.
“The Church Magisterium documents on the Catholic school are rich in wisdom and yet remain an untapped resource for Catholic educators.
‘Voices and Visions’ seeks to engage Catholic school communities in a dialogue that will help embed the calls and challenges of Vatican documents into the policies, practices, relationships and cultures of their schools. It is a resource that will help to further develop the vocation of all those who share in the privileged ministry of Catholic Education.”
